Fort Lauderdale fishing

Report Date: November 25, 2015

Here we are trying to get into winter mode. The weather has not cooperated much this spring. Lots of rain, high temps and now wind. When I had the chance to sneak out there was fish to be caught. Sailfish, Kingfish and Dolphin are passing through right now. In close most days. Drifting live bait is the method that has worked for me. Key is to get the right weather and this is the time of year when it is changing fast and often so you need to be lucky twice. With the weather and the fish.

The stable fishing pattern has been inshore. Never too rough and the resident fish like to cooperate more. Mostly Jack Crevalle and Barracuda but there are a few Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish showing up in the inlet at times. For those who prefer to fish calm waters or families with younger anglers, this is the ticket. Usually more action and lots of sights while waiting for the bite.

Sea ya,
Captain Ron
