Fort Lauderdale Florida Fishing Report

Report Date: November 24, 2009

The weather has warmed a bit this week and that has slowed down the migration some. Before the great weather we were getting a good amount of Dolphin and Kingish in close. The Sailfish are scattered and should come through again when the next cool north wind starts to blow. It looks like there will be some later this week into the weekend. This is typical fall weather patterns and every cold front brings more fish into our area.

The bottom fishing has been decent with Snapper and Grouper filling in the mix. Most are shorts and go back but they are getting bigger as the weeks pass. If light tackle rod bending is your desire this is a great way to keep busy. The inlet is holding some nice Jack Crevalle and Barracuda. A frisky live bait usually does the trick.

Sea Ya,
Captain Ron Mallet
