Fort Lauderdale Florida fishing report

Report Date: June 7, 2008

We had great conditions today for drifting live baits right out front. A nice east breeze and strong north currentn helped. It started off quiet but they did wake up and they were hungry. Bonita and Kingfish were biting in 160-100 feet and we did catch a large Sailfiah right there too. The Dolphin fishing is very scattered. A few mixed in close but most boats scoring are running and burning (fuel) trying to stumble across some birds and debris to help find them.

The inshore waters put a few Jack Crevalles on the line as we headed back in. This action should keep up as long as the weather stays the same. But the weather always changes so who knows what will happen next time out? Thats what I like about this sport.

Sea Ya,
Captain Ron Mallet
