Fort Lauderdale Florida Spring Fishing

It looks like we can finally pack away our jackets and long pants. Typical east-southeast breezes have started to move the fish north again. Offshore the Sailfish, Kingfish and occasional Dolphin are just outside the drop off a mile or two. The daily weather dictates what you might find and it changes often so pick and hope.

Inshore the larger Jack Crevalles are set up in the usual spots. Barracuda are there too but being picky about eating this week. Some Tarpon other than the locals, should move in any week when the mullet show in good numbers.

Live bait has been the key to getting action. Pick the right day with weather cooperating and you should find fish during the next few months.
