Fort Lauderdale Offshore fishing

Looks like spring is here and the fish are heading north. This was a very warm winter here with some of the hottest waters I can remember. This gave us some slow days and a very unpredictable fishing winter. Now that we are getting closer to longer days and warmer nights, the fish are turning north.

Today we put a nice Mutton Snapper in the box that decided to come up off the bottom and eat a live bait. A little later a school of Dolphin (Mahi for those who read lots and want to stay hip)founds us. We put a few in the box and secured dinner for the visitors. A few Sailfish and straggling through and we had a nice size Hammerhead next to the boat this afternoon. It is looking up after a long, patient winter.
