Fort Lauderdale Florida fishing report

Another year. So far it has been a warm one here. Lots of great weather. This is a good thing but can slow down the southern push of fish. We did get some east wind today and that helped lots. There were scattered Dolphin in close. Nice fish between 7 and 15 pounds in 100 to 200 feet of water about a mile or two off our shoreline. Mixed in with them we did find Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish and Cero Makerel. Nice action using live Pilchards as bait. The kite produced most of the Dolphin bites. Still light on the Sailfish bite. You can expect one any trip but yet to see the huge number days that usually occur this time of year. There is another cool front comming this weekend. Maybe that will turn them on and get them moving through.
