Fort Lauderdale Florida fishing report

Report Date: December 8, 2012

Getting into the winter patterns. Still on the warm side but we are getting signs of things to come. Lots of east wind brought clean water, bait and deep water fish closer to shore. The Dolphin bite has been good most days when you get out and find the conditions right. Pot luck if you will get those though. Some Kingfish and Bonita are here to keep your attention while waiting for the Sailfish to show. Inshore the the Jack Crevalles are doing a number on the remaining mullet that roam the canals. A little travel in the right spots should produce bent rods along with the occasional Barracuda bite. If you really lucky and good size Tarpon will jump on too.

The weather is constatnly changing and so is the fishing action. t is impossible to predicit what will happen next month, week or tomorrow so pick your day and hope for the best. Winter is the time when gamefish return to South Florida to stay warm. Give it a try. Your day might be the lucky one.

Sea Ya,
Captain Ron Mallet
