Fort Lauderdale Florida fishing update

I did a good amount of traveling over the last month or more. Back in town the last week and a half and ready to get on the water again. The weather won't let me! RAIN to the max the last few days. I mean non stop Florida monsoons. I did get out 1 day last week to run the boat and the canal was as full of finger mullet as thick as I can remember in the last 10 years. Is this a good sign?

I did talk with a few who fished recently and it was on the quiet side but picked up this week. This is typical of our season here, that is why I do my traveling during September. Looks like a break in the rain starting thursday and some great weather behind it. Perfect fall conditions. The fall run is on and great fishing is expected. I have trips planned this week so check back and see what the outcome was. The next month should bring great action to our area, both inshore and offshore.
