Fort Lauderdale Florida deeps sea fishing report

Report Date: June 17, 2009

We are getting into real summer Florida weather and fishing patterns. This week the mornings are giving us dry skies and time to bend the rods without the wash from nature.

Close to shore the Kingfish are biting well. Sometimes the Bonitas get involved and take over the action. A few Barracudas found our baits today to mix things up. Further offshore the Dolphin are passing through. Calm seas, clear skies and extra time helps to run around and hunt them. If you find the sweet spot you can get into a mix of school size fish with a couple of gaffers mixed in. This pattern will be the norm for the next few weeks and then some as we enter mid summer. As always, luck plays a big part but we have been lucky lately and thats always a good thing.

Sea Ya,
Captain Ron Mallet
