Fort Lauderdale Fla fishing report

Report Date: May 23, 2008

We are getting closer to our summer routine. The winds have blown hard from the west for the last week. This has pushed the Dolphin far out and scattered them. Some lucky hunters with lots of fuel and a sharp eye are still finding them on certain days.

Closer in the Kingfish are biting well earlier in the day. Live bait is working well. A few Sailfish are still moving through. We are
getting bites on them while drifting for the Kings. Bonita are just starting to show. The fish should bite real well as soon as we get a few days of southeast breeze.

The Barracuda and Jack Crevalles are tearing up the live bait inshore as long as the tide is flowing.

Sea Ya,
Captain Ron Mallet
